Meet Lauren

I'm Lauren, a generally registered psychologist based in Brisbane, providing Telehealth services to adolescents and adults across Australia.

I believe that our experiences, relationships, physical health, and environments all shape our wellbeing. My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, with a focus on helping clients feel understood while developing practical skills and meaningful insights for lasting change.

I work from a developmental and attachment-informed perspective and tailor therapy to each individual's unique needs and goals. I draw upon evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Alongside private practice, I work as the sole psychologist within a sub-acute hospital setting, supporting individuals living with chronic pain, complex medical conditions, and rehabilitation needs. This role has fostered a particular interest in the connection between physical and psychological wellbeing.

I have a special interest in supporting people experiencing:

  • Health anxiety and medical concerns

  • Chronic pain and persistent health conditions

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Trauma and post-traumatic stress

  • Stress and burnout

  • Sport and performance concerns

  • Neurodiversity, including ADHD and autism

  • Emotional regulation difficulties

I also enjoy supporting parents and caregivers of children experiencing emotional or behavioural difficulties and have a strong interest in attachment, parent-child relationships, and evidence-based parenting approaches.

I strive to provide a therapeutic space that is warm, encouraging, and non-judgemental, where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and work towards meaningful change.
